Every bag in the VINTAGIO archive is inspected by hand by our team before it is listed. Authenticity is not the last step of the process — it is the first. Only pieces that meet our standards ever reach the archive.
How we authenticate
Each piece passes through the same five stages, in person, before it joins the archive.
We take in pieces from the great houses only, after reviewing their history and condition.
Leather grain, canvas pattern, lining and edge finishing, against the house's own references.
Stitch count, alignment, proportions and shape — the signatures of each maison's craft.
Zips, buckles and engravings, together with date codes, serial numbers and interior stamps.
A last check of the whole piece before it is photographed and listed in the archive.

Every piece you buy from VINTAGIO is covered by our authenticity guarantee. If you have any question about a piece, contact us within 14 days of delivery: we will review it with you and, where confirmed, refund you in full in line with our refund policy.
Our team is always happy to share more on any piece before or after purchase — close-ups of codes and hardware, measurements, or anything else you would like to know.

Can I see more photographs of a piece?
Of course. Email us with the reference of the bag and we will send close-ups of any detail you would like to see, including codes, hardware and interior.
Which maisons do you authenticate?
Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga and the other great houses we carry in the archive.
Who authenticates the pieces?
Our own in-house team. Every piece is physically in our hands and inspected in person before it is listed.
